Hua Hin offers so much more than simply the beach and if you look around you can find some hidden gems that are definitely worth exploring. Take the area around Falcon Hill for example, despite being within city limits you are surrounded by countryside and forested hills with ample opportunities for cycling and walking.
Street 102
The road that leads to Falcon Hill from the main road is called ‘Soi 102’, in English this means street 102. Soi 102 is easily accessed from Phet Kasem Road (the road that runs through Hua Hin) and contains a number of 7/11 of convenience stores and restaurants with the newly opened Blu Port Shopping Mall providing residents with easy access to the cinema, restaurants and western groceries.
Directly across the main road from Soi 102 is the beach – access is possible through some specific access roads or through one of the many hotels and restaurants that line the beach side of the road. Many people enjoy the walk from Falcon Hill in the early morning or late afternoon and if you don’t fancy walking back cheap taxis are plentiful.
Staying Active
For those who like to maintain an active lifestyle the opportunities in Hua Hin are almost endless. Following a government initiative more and more cycle lanes are being added enabling cyclists to enjoy a pleasant ride away from motorised vehicles. Cycling is also becoming very popular with Thai people, following HM the King of Thailand’s ‘Bike for Dad’ program which encouraged the Thai people to take up cycling for health. There are also numerous gyms and sports clubs within minutes of Falcon Hill with tennis, badminton, pickleball, football and floorball having established clubs within the town. Falcon Hill’s Project Manager is a keen sportsman who seems to play everything, so if you want to join a club or partake in any kind of activity, he’s the man to speak to!
Golf
Hua Hin is known for its golf courses and has a number of championship level golf courses within 30 minutes of Falcon Hill, with the nearest one being the Banyan Golf Club which is less that 5 minutes by car from Falcon Hill. A quick online search will give you the exact locations of all golf clubs in and around Hua Hin.
Dining
From cheap Thai street food to family restaurants to fine dining, Hua Hin has the lot in abundance. Less than 3 minutes’ drive from Falcon Hill you will notice an extraordinary number of restaurants on Street 102 – if you fancy something other than Thai food, the nearby Blu Port Shopping Mall has a variety of cuisines from which to choose from. As you get oriented with Hua Hin and the local neighbourhoods, you will notice an abundance of restaurants that have been opened by expats and serve various international cuisines including but not limited to Italian, British, Swedish, Danish, French, Chinese and Indian. The 5* Hotels in the town also offer regular brunch and dinner buffets in a seaside location.
If you think you could get used to a tropical lifestyle with all the comforts of home on hand why not schedule a visit to Falcon Hill and find out for yourself why our development is a cut above the rest in terms of location, quality and luxury.
Hua Hin is such a superb place to live. I notice you created a separate Falcon Hills Luxury Rentals website at https://falconhillluxuryrentals.com/
